美濃・紙の芸術村では、国内外のアーティストが３ヶ月間美濃市に滞在し、
美濃市の伝統工芸品である美濃和紙の魅力を知るとともに、美濃和紙を使った創作活動を行っています。
また、市民との交流を通して、草の根国際交流が活発です。市民のボランティアが中心になって運営を行っています。
Mino City has been a host to a very successful Artists in Residence / Mino Paper Art Village project.
Artists from Japan and various other countries are invited to live and work in Mino for three months.
During their stay, they use locally produced paper to create their works of art.
At the same time, the residents of Mino have many opportunities
to engage in various kinds of cultural exchanges with the visiting artists.
